Sing with Me 03:30

i was living a life. a life worth living for. beyond the big blue sky. i found my heart was sewn. to the memories of you. tattooed on my brains. so i took a drive all the way to Morro Bay. and there i found my bride. struggling to breath, she's suffocating. Oh but I want to be with you when you die. oh I really want to be ...with you when you die.

Land of 2000 hands Heroine, she couldn't come back now even if she wanted to, She couldn't come back now even if she could...Momma's on the windowsill, Sybil's counting out her pills. Momma's thinking she's no good for anyone. your oil fields are in my lap. i clap my hands to keep them back. i'm measuring my backyard. my brother's got the urge to kill. but ashlie keeps him from the fill. they're living day beyond day, they're living in the land of 2000 hands. heaven drills on gods green earth. the animals hurry for the durt. they're digging way downtown. my love she floats up for the night. she whispers words out of the light. she must be golden because damn that gurl can bite. from the Oregon coast to the river Nile is how far you'd go to make me smile. now i'm waiting for red wings and harps to play. yes, i'm waiting in the land of 2000 hands. Your garden grows and weaves and winds. like a desperate man who has no time, gone broke on taming all his thorny vines. now a living man won't take a bow. what he's got is yours so don't be proud. and regret nothing until it's really worth it. you don't to live you don't know how to die. you've got one too many alibi's. furst comes the laughter then the long goodbye. happily ever after in the land of 2000 hands.

Awful Blue the awful blue between your eyes has me opened up the sky. maybe then you'll find your place. somewhere in some distant space. come back to me.come back to me. come home to me. the awful blue inside my veins pushes blood towards my brain. and someday soon you'll fit in just fine. and watch us waste our precious time. come back to me. come back to me. come home to me. The awful blue between your eyes has me locked in endless sigh. where i dare to call my home is anywhere fit for flesh and bone. come back to me! come back to me! come Home to me!

the Gods of Man here come the crows just in time for the show. where they've been i don't know. but still they come. they're numbers grow. i watch them as they go. i'm feeling something i can't control. i climb the tree from low. up towards the sky now i'm alone. i reach for a branch and i grab for a limb. i'm falling from my stand. and if there's a heaven then hell knows i've sinned against the gods of man. we've broken all the codes and bent the bars till they bowed. split the earth to zones where once we wandered from stone to stone. i reach for a branch and i grab for a limb. i'm falling from my stand. and if there's a heaven then hell knows i've sinned against the gods of man. here come the crows just in time for the show. the beaten raptured know that the end was all a hoax. and love it ever grows on the sleeves of the unknown and dances with the crows and everything above and below. i reach for a branch and i grab for a limb. i'm falling from my stand and if there's a heaven then hell knows i've sinned against the gods of man. i reach for a branch and i grab for a limb. it's slipping through my hands and if there's a heaven then hell knows i've sinned against the Gods of Man...

the Jewel and the Germ well i've been, i've been the talk. i've been the fool. i've been the mark. and all my life. i only want to walk with something like you. and i've seen. what others seen. i've been awake. and i've been the dream. and this life would be a terrible thing without something like you. and all my friends say it just depends on loneliness and decay. and in defense of a common sense. i think that's just a silly thing to say. well i stood where other's stood. i've been the nail and i've been the wood. and what's a life? a life ain't any good without something like you. and all that ends must begin again. but there's somethings that need no change. when all the trends make no difference. i prefer things to be so strange. i've been the jewel and i've been the germ. i've been the soil. i've been the worm. and all my life digging with all concern with all concern for something like you. i've been the jewel and i've been the germ. i've been the egg and i've been the sperm. and all my life just trying to squirm towards something like you.

Names 02:25
Names the gardens filled with swine. they've been feeding on my mind. and the days seem so strange. they've given us a name. and sent us on our way. mother she's so fine. but we still build for the sky. it's too late to lose the shame. they've covered us in names. and sent us on our way.would you ever need to climb. if you had your wings untied? for the Fates, they need you safe. so they can twist you into shape. fill your brain with names. then wash it all away.

Rabbit Hole all take to heads. all turn to stone. the memories born to gold.we're torn to spend our lives alone. now bend the rules with tools of bone and tempered down to hold. deranged the fools were set to throne. just why even god wants to know. and sadly sleeping they will be . so sadly still they move. and madly weeping with open teeth. beside themselves so soon. they took the land they burned the home. and left us with filthy folds. so we took the rags and rode towards the storm. in the face of the eye that we stole. there the artists hand commanded the show. once warm now bloody and cold. for when asked to band together once more. they shared everything but their souls. and sadly sleeping they will be . so sadly still they move. oh and madly weeping with open teeth. beside themselves so soon. we'll raise the dead. we'll carry the load. from hieroglyph to rock and roll. because the enemy was fed on the food that we'd grown. sustained by the bonemeals of old. and sadly sleeping they will be . so sadly still they move. and madly weeping with open teeth. beside themselves so soon. and sadly sleeping they will be. so sadly still they moving and madly weeping with gnashing teeth. beside themselves so soon. from the sands of the damned come the children of Rome. the pilgrims the shepherds and crows. but the artists have fled for the safety below. down inside the rabbit hole.

Morro Rock I took a drive to Morro Bay.where no one asked me my name. no more. i took you along as a song in my mind.bu that didn't help me much. Because when the men came they didn't look very happy to see you there. my car broke down. on the coast by way. and so i hit Cabrillo Hwy. and headed south until i hit the mouth of the grand design near Los Osos pines. where the grave mistakes were sure to leave you out of line. still at times i know...the rock was cleaned by the sea. and the sand was sinking towards Spain again. Storie was born like the rock that stands there torn between the town and god. and when the waves came in you should have seen the look that sat on "his" face. Soon enough we'll go. Soon enough we'll go Home...that's where i'll be, by the sea, we're going home.

Reaching for the Grave Baby you got legs. Kick me in the guts. baby you got everything and maybe that's enough. Maybe you got nothing and you're just playing it safe. maybe you got everything and i'm reaching for the grave. lovely you. got words. to tear my head apart. lovely you got everlasting life and bones to cart. maybe you got something and you're afraid to give it Name. or maybe you got everything and i'm reaching for the grave. maybe you got everything and i'm reaching for the grave.

I'm So Tired 03:37
I'm so tired i could die. and all my dreams will come true. all my dreams for you.

Sorry Sung 06:10
Sorry Sung just how i arrived at this sorry sung. when action speaks louder than words off a tongue. i borrowed my courage from the seat of a drunk. and forced all the breath from lungs. a cigarette lip wet with your name. and the crimes i commit along the way. you scoop out the ocean of coral and wave. and wade in the sand until saved. you were larger than life. too big for your time. writing your memoirs in slow hand designs. and someday soon you'll fit in just fine. and leave all these concerns behind. all the shadow men with their pitchforks and spade. all you sleepy dreamers with your sheep and your maids. all the vacancy driven and all the playful charades. you all await the very same grave. into the ashes and out from the fire. seven years waiting for new skin to tire. a tale to be told as old as the liar. because lying was why he was hired. the ancient smell of disgust and regret. fills my nostrils with a heavenly scent. so i asked that angel what jealousy meant. he answered an eternity spent. come one come all to the land of denial. take the happy pill prescription strength smile. wear your Sunday best and stand single file. and don't you dare change the dial. just how i arrived at this sorry sung. was the least of my worries when the purge begun. now that angel is laughing and having her fun. and the townsfolk are coming undone. and O the lonely was it ever coming back to me? is it ever coming back to me?

Paycheck to Paycheck I'm in the backseat with the little green man. he's so tired that cannot stand.everybody wants a piece of him. the days are dimming down and now it's time to forget that you were ever mine. every bodies got advice to give. she wears her hair around her head. and shit don't stick when she's unfed. everybody want to feed her names. and words like burds just pass me by, paycheck to paycheck and the open sky. every bodies trying to collect. by morning come she's fast asleep. and using knives to make it deep. every body dreams and she's never coming back. So i'm in the backseat with the little green man. and making wishes he cannot grant. every body bleeds and i'm no different. i'm no different...not at all.

In the Swimming Pool we came into this town like an avalanche. walked right out of the woods like there was nothing left to change. and what would we find. terror on the times. oh no. Now wandering inside this old saloon. to gamble away my life with the money i stole from you, yeah, you. but how much could i spend before i hit the end of my lonely road. who knows... we practice self defense with wooden instruments. we wrote our names in stone that was once soft cement. and when we unwind. was there something on your mind, this time? Don't leave words unsigned, you either sink or you swim or you stay inside...where it's safe...down below...in the swimming pool. in the swimming pool, it doesn't matter how much i care for you.

Armed with no auto tune devices, (actually no tuning at all), an arsenal of broken down instruments, an Accordion Warrior named Matt Vorhies and a dash of NoMetronomes . I make it all in a little room, in my little basement, in my own private little Idaho. Here is a little bit of my soul. Take it or leave it. ... more
